A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Elizabeth Watson, a “much-loved” grandmother from Peterhead, Aberdeenshire

Police responded to a report of concern at a house on Catto Drive on Tuesday evening, where they discovered the body of the 58-year-old woman.

Jonathon Divers, aged 30 and from Peterhead, was arrested and charged in connection with Ms. Watson’s death.
